Jacques 650 Series IP Voice Communication System features integrated multi-zone Public Address support. These Public Address (PA) functions are available within the intercom system or as a standalone Public Address system.
The features and benefits are:
- Dynamic grouping of zones, with no fixed limit on the number of pre-defined groups or the number of members within the group.
- Public address controllers can connect standard Public Address amplifers to the VoIP communication system.
- High quality digital background music (BGM) support, with Jacques Audio Streaming Server up to 16-channels of live or pre-encoded MP3 audio can be streamed for in-house music distribution.
- Jacques Graphical Master Station application provides customisable floor plan or schematic views on a touch-screen PC workstation.
- The Jacques Voice Annunicator module provides a digital message store, playback and recording of announcements with no no fixed limits on duration or capacity.
- PABX interface module allows any phone extension to be used to direct calls to the public address system. PIN authentication and zone selection can be made via DTMF.
- Jacques JAG-S1 unit provides many advanced public address features including: Automatic Level Control (ALC) with ambient noise monitoring and 24-hour time schedule and independant volume and tone controls for each output.
- Integrated AS2220 Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System (EWIS) support with Jacques JAG-S1 and JELM-1 units.
- Support for TCP/IP Quality of Service (QoS) and multicast routing standards including DSCP, IGMPv2 and Diffserv. Multicast RTP streaming is supported for efficient distribution of audio for one-to-many group calls and auxiliary channels.
The public address functions of the 650 Series applications include:
- Within a 650 Series intercom system master stations allow an operator to select any combination of predefined groups to direct an announcement to. This allows intercom slave stations to function as a "mini-PA" system.
- As a standalone PA system within a building or campus and integrated with its structured cabling system or existing data networks.
- Passenger entertainment systems, for music or commentary distribution onboard rail, bus, shipping or information systems within buildings.
- Long Line Public Address (LLPA). The 650 Series System can scale to provide hundreds of public address zones over a wide area network such as suburban rail network or busway system.

The Jacques IPM-350G is specifically designed as a PA Master Station for Jacques IP Public Address systems. It is used to direct voice and standard PA announcements to any group or multiple groups of public address speakers throughout a building complex. The Universal Audio Interface (UAI-3B1) is an interface between the 650 Series IP Integrated Communications System and an analogue audio device. Jacques software configurations enable the UAI to be used as a radio interface, PA controller, relay controller and streaming audio converter. When a PA message is paged from a 650 Series Master Station (for example the IPM-350G), the UAI provides a balanced audio output to a PA amplifier for powering the zone speakers.
