As security surrounding the aviation industry increases, there becomes a greater need to emergency assistance and security solutions for both air travellers and those working at airports. Jacques has supplied Emergency and Information Help Points in both of these applications.

Airside Security:
Jacques GSM Help Point Units can be installed where an Ethernet connection is not possible, including airports. The Help Point Units (HPU) can provide Emergency call assistance to callers via the GSM network. On power-up the GSM Emergency Help Point Unit connects to the mobile phone carrier network. A call is initiated on the press of the call button by dialing the configured numbers stored on the internal SIM card phone book and calls can be answered from any PSTN telephone, mobile phone or PABX extension, providing help or support to the caller.
Passenger Security:
Jacques HPU-5E-i units are Ethernet devices and can provide Emergency and Information assistance to airport passengers where an Ethernet network is available. These Help Point Units can be located in arrivals or departure halls providing assistance to callers on a wide range of services including; flight arrival or departure times, directions, onward travel assistance and emergency information. Additionally, Help Point Units can provide additional security for passengers in the airport car parks. The Jacques High Level Interface ensures integration with CCTV cameras to record calls at each Help Point Unit
