Jacques is an innovative electronics design and manufacturing company in West End, Brisbane, supplying communications systems to domestic and international markets.
We are currently looking for a person to fill a new role of Knowledge Coordinator on our software development team.
The role of the Knowledge Coordinator is to add value to Jacques’ business by optimising the efficiency of access to relevant information for Jacques’ staff and clients.
This position is responsible for:

The publication of professional, quality technical documentation relating to Jacques’ products;

The creation and maintenance of Jacques’ technical information library;
-
The design, creation and maintenance of technical and user documentation.

Investigating and gathering information on process and procedures from individuals;
-
The design, development and maintenance of internal procedures and policy manual consistent with quality systems.

The ideal candidate will be technically qualified with relevant work experience. We are looking for a demonstrated high degree of expertise with technical documentation and quality systems.
The candidate must:

be results focused, and be able to develop and execute an appropriate plan for the timely publication of Jacques’ technical information;

be able to communicate effectively with information users, software developers, and engineers to effectively develop useful documentation;

have the ability to learn about Jacques’ systems and then effectively develop user documentation;

be proficient with the MS Office suite particularly MS Word.
The candidate must also have skills in:

appropriate English language written expression;
-
cataloguing of information;
-
Quality systems;
-
managing information access;
-
understanding and interpreting technical concepts.
This position will initially be offered on a 3 to 6 month contract. The role may be changed to a permanent full-time position at the end of that period, depending on the performance and abilities of the successful candidate.
