JACQUES INTEGRATION WITH INNER RANGE CASE STUDY

Jacques is proud to announce a powerful integration solution with the security and access control system by Inner Range.

Utilising Inner Range’s Insight System Management Software, data from the Jacques management server may be monitored for specific events or ‘tags’.  When a matching event or tag is generated by the Jacques system, one or more automatic response actions may be performed by the Inner Range system.

In this way, actions on the Jacques system may be used to initialise actions within the Inner Range Access Control System.

A typical scenario might be: A student at a large university campus presses the ‘call’ button on a Jacques help point.  Insight receives this event data from the Jacques server and responds immediately by logging within Insight Review which button was pressed and at which help point location.  Insight then sends a command to the associated CCTV Video Surveillance system and moves PTZ ‘Camera 131’ to pre-defined ‘Preset-5’ which is known to cover the help point location. The camera zooms in on the student to identify him or her.  On the guards station monitor, the Insight schematic map of the university is brought to the foreground, as well as the live streaming footage from ‘Camera 131’.  Additional cameras from the surrounding area may also be displayed on external monitors within the Control Room.

The guard in the control room is therefore perfectly situated to see the student with whom he/she is talking on the audio intercom and to view any fleeing offender or illicit behaviour in the surrounding area.

This powerful integration allows the Inner Range system to manage multiple automated events within its own system as well as within the Jacques system via a high-level interface.
