The Jacques JELM-1 combines an 8 channel PA line monitor and EWIS in one unit. It provides diagnostic and fault indication for high voltage PA speaker lines and the ability to produce alert tones in an emergency situation. It is a hub which connects between PA
music sources, PA amplifiers, PA speakers, PA microphones and a standard building FIP (Fire Indication Panel).

Product Features

• Interfaces with a Fire Indicator Panel (FIP) so that EWIS tones can be injected into the inputs of the PA amplifiers Has preset time delay for changeover from ALERT to EVAC tones
• Allows for a line level input so the output from the FIP can be directed to the PA amplifiers
• Reports the status of the warning signals to the JAG-S1 on a RS232 connection
• Allows for monitoring of the Amplifier speaker lines for open circuit, short circuit and overload if the speakers are EWIS compliant
• Can switch out speaker attenuators when EWIS tones are injected
• Reports the faults on the speaker lines to the JAG-S1 which sends them on to the event log
• Local monitor speaker allows an operator to monitor individual speaker lines
• LED level display shows the level on individual speaker lines
