The Jacques Integrated Train System (JITS) comprises a suite of sub-systems for on-board communications and passenger information and entertainment for rail cars. The Jacques Integrated Train System is comprised of the following functional sub-systems:
- Public Address System: The Public Address system allows announcements to be directed to either interior speakers or external speakers across all car sets.
- Crew Intercom System: The crew intercom allows the train crew to communicate as necessary over the entire train.
- Passenger Personal Help Point System: Passengers can place calls for assistance and communicate with train crew using this system.
- Passenger Information and Entertainment System: This system provides the passenger with facilities to watch pre-set movies, informational and promotional videos, to listen to broadcast radio stations and pre-set audio music stations, and be informed and updated on the train route and timetable progress.
- CCTV Surveillance System: The CCTV surveillance system digitally records camera images from passenger areas of the train. The images can be monitored from a local control point and retrieved for processing off-train.
- Crew Call System: Passengers can call the train crew for service through the crew call system.
