PUBLIC SPACES

The Jacques 650 Series VoIP System is a multifunctional integrated communications system with provisions for subsystems, including:
• Multizone Public Address (PA)
• Emergency Help Point Units (HPU)
• Professional intercom
• Information & entertainment
• High Level Interface (HLI) to CCTV systems, building management & security systems.

The Integrated Help Point & LLPA System provides help, information and public address, ideal for applications were public safety is paramount – parks, sporting complexes, stadiums, public walkways.

The Jacques networked Help Point Unit (HPU) and Long Line Public Address (LLPA) system uses the Jacques 650 Series VoIP Integrated Communications System to create fully digital, networked, multizone Public Address (PA), and emergency help and information system for medium to large public safety applications.

The Public Address and Help Point system is based on Ethernet and TCP/IP standards and operates over existing network infrastructure, therefore, there is no requirement for custom cabling or dedicated fibre links. This significantly reduces installation costs and cabling requirements. The audio for intercom calls and/or public address announcements is streamed using the industry standard Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP). Jacques intercom stations and Public Address zones are managed by the Jacques system server software that controls and monitors all functions throughout the entire system.

Intercom & Access Control:
Intercom slave stations have simple single button operation and call only to predefined master stations. Operation is hands free, once the call is established. Intercom slave stations are available in a wide variety of sizes, styles and finishes.

In addition relay modules are standard features on intercom slave stations as an option to activate external equipment such as door or boom gate controllers. Each Jacques intercom slave station comes with 2 relay modules as standard that can be configured for duress alarms, auxiliary relay boards to initiate lighting, gate or door access control. Jacques intercom stations are suitable for mounting in building entrances, on bollards and both internal and external locations.

Integrated CCTV:

Jacques has extensive experience in system integration with 3rd party CCTV, Building Management and Security Management Systems. The Jacques High Level Interface (HLI) easily integrates with CCTV systems so that Jacques intercom stations and Help Point Units can be associated with video monitors and cameras. The HLI and can provide bidirectional control between the systems. For example, if a HPU call is initiated, the HLI can tell the CCTV camera associated with that endpoint to activate and record the activity, both audio and video can be recorded.

HELP POINT UNIT FEATURES INCLUDE:

  • Help Point Units are highly visible, vandal resistant units that provide emergency and/or information at the press of a button
  • Help Point Units are environmentally sealed (IP-55 rated)
  • Noise reduction and echo cancellation technology enabled

SKATE PARK - MULTI CHANNEL MUSIC DISTRIBUTION

The $1 million dollar state-of-the-art Redland Youth Plaza, opened in December 2007 is a unique and innovative skateboard and BMX facility.  Featured in the park is a Jacques 650 Series Integrated Communications System used to stream MP3 audio to 3 speaker sets mounted on 10m high poles. Skaters can select one of 3 audio channels at any speaker pole control panel and adjust the output volume (limited by a preset level). Each speaker pole can simultaneously stream the selected audio at the selected volume.

Jacques hardware and software is stored onsite in a secure, weatherproof casing. Jacques VoIP System Servers, soundcards and media converters enable the system to stream any three audio inputs in MP3 format.  Speaker amps are timer controlled ensuring the audio is only audible during certain hours determined by park management.
