Advanced PA system enables simple notification to passengers regarding safety warnings, delays or emergency broadcasts within multiple zones. The system allows broadcasting of live or time scheduled announcements to one, many or all zones providing complete flexibility to the user.

Accessibility

Intercoms and help point units are designed to provide assistance at the touch of a button. This means assistance should be made available to all – including users that require accessibility.

The solution features:

Multi-station monitoring

Our intelligent system architecture, coupled with third party system integration, provides a comprehensive solution for multisite monitoring from a centralized location. Ability for across city transport network to be controlled from a central management center. Sites and stations can be linked via Wide Area Network (WAN). Enhance safety at transport network passenger stations by simultaneously viewing associated CCTV footage while monitoring HPU & intercom audio.

Call recording

The system utilises smart recording wherby multiple audio streams are recorded & logged. Audio recording at each master station ensures all communication between intercom, help point unit and master station is recorded. Recordings can be sent to VMS systems or to audio recording devices (which are tamper-proof & can be accessed remotely).

Announcement scheduling

Plan and schedule announcements and tones for automatic play utilising our calendar-based interface. With the flexibility to set up simple or detailed announcement files and have them play at specific times throughout the year and across city parameters. Announcement scheduling can aid in public safety notifications or to remind the public of intended or prohibited behaviours.

Configurable relay modules

Configurable relay modules exist on intercom terminals & help point units to activate external equipment – control doors, boom gates, lights or signal CCTV camera presets.

Adanced tunnel technology

Utilising IP technology, tunnel system devices are connected directly to any ethernet port; ensuring scalability and flexibility. The IP technology backbone ensures small, large or multi-site systems can be created now or as your tunnel network grows and requirements change.

Sound levels

The PA solution shall be designed so that average sound levels will not be louder than 105 dB at a hearing height of 1.5 meters above pavement level, to prevent hearing damage, while equally covering every single inch of tunnel space.

Speech Transmission Index

The PA system shall be created to reach a measurable intelligibility performance on average of above 0.45 Speech Transmission Index (STI), including compensation for all background noise, such as turbo fans and traffic noise.

Performance Criteria

When measuring system performance, we recommend objective standards and performance criteria IEC 60268-16:2011 be used as a guideline to measure the intelligibility performance of the tunnel PA solution.

Volume Control

Automatic volume control is provided as a basic standard which intelligently adapts the volume at the loudspeakers to suit the ambient noise level in the tunnel under all circumstances

Tunnel control

Jacques tunnel solution features a dedicated PC master station with configurable and flexible user interface. This allows for the control and administration of tunnel communications and monitoring of faults and alarms.

Master stations in the system allow users to make live public address announcements, trigger pre-recorded announcements as well as make/receive intercom calls. Added benefit of maps & emergency messages exist in PC Master station.

Help Point Units (HPUs), the ultimate solution for environments prioritizing public safety. These user-friendly and reliable IP call points are designed to withstand weather & harsh outdoor environments, ensuring robust and seamless communication. With one or two button calling, simply press the call button to connect with central control. Our HPUs are available with emergency or dual emergency and information buttons, catering to situations where additional assistance may be required. Equipped with configurable relays, these units effortlessly control lighting, duress alarms, CCTV, or gate systems commonly found in public safety and transport environments.
